• Use the ointment recommended by your technician (e.g., Aquaphor, Vitamin E, or a professional-grade balm).

• Apply a thin layer to keep your lips moisturized and protected.

Apply the healing ointment regularly (2–3 times a day or as needed).

Avoid letting your lips dry out or crack.

Avoid excessive contact with water (e.g., swimming, saunas, or long showers).

Use a straw when drinking liquids to minimize contact.

Do not touch, pick, or peel scabs or flaking skin; let it shed naturally.

Picking can cause uneven pigment retention or scarring.

Refrain from applying lipstick, lip gloss, or other makeup on your lips.

Avoid skincare products with active ingredients (e.g., retinol, glycolic acid) near the lip area.

Avoid excessive sweating, hot yoga, or any activities that could cause irritation.

Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds. After the healing period, use SPF lip balm to protect your lips.

Spicy, Salty, or Acidic Foods:

These can irritate the lips. Use a straw or eat carefully.

Alcohol and Smoking:

These can slow healing and affect pigment retention.

Excessive Moisture:

Avoid submerging lips in water or overapplying ointment.

Kissing or Oral Activities:

Avoid until fully healed to prevent irritation or infection.

Days 1–2: Lips may appear swollen and brighter in color.

Days 3–7: Flaking and scabbing occur as the skin heals; the color may appear uneven or patchy.

Days 8–10: Most scabs have shed, and the color starts to settle.

Weeks 4–6: Full healing and true color reveal. A touch-up may be required to perfect the results.
